Tony J is a talented and versatile Latin artist from Miami. Being the son of a talented and long time percussionist, Tony himself naturally became a percussionist, but his passion for performing led him to become a singer and a songwriter. Tony began playing guache (Colombian folkloric instrument) at the age of five years old. In 2006 he entered the band at Miami Lakes Middle School, and became a drum major of the band and at the age of thirteen. Tony performed live for the first time at the age of 12, where he covered songs of different Latin genres including Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia and Vallenato.

In 2010, at the age of 16, Tony participated in his first professional studio recording as a percussionist with AB Quintanilla while working on the album "La Vida De Un Genio" (guache). Tony recorded his first studio production as an artist at the age of 16, with the first song being called "Party In My House". Tony recorded 4 original songs at the age of 16 and released it as a mixtape which can be heard on his Soundcloud.

Tony has performed live as a percussionist with many well known artists, including Elvis Crespo, Grupo Treo & Maffio just to name a few. Tony has also performed live as a artist and has opened up for premier acts like J Alvarez and Omega. Tony is currently working on his latest project which will be a Latin fusion of different genres with the focus on Reggaeton.
