TonyJ is a 23-year-old rising Latin Urban star in South Florida, who is breaking barriers in the Latin Urban music genre with his unique blend of sounds, and his high energy live shows. TonyJ is Colombian and was raised in a musical family, son of renowned Colombian musician Antonio Manuel De Las Salas. Being in a musical family, he listened to many different types of Latin genres at a young age, exposing him to great singers like Daddy Yankee, Pitbull, Arcangel, and J Balvin. He began playing Latin percussion and performing at a very young age. Upon realizing his passion for performing, it inspired him to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter.
TonyJ’s very first live performance was at the age of 12, where he covered songs of various Latin genres, including Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, and Vallenato. TonyJ recorded his first studio production as a solo artist at the age of 16, with his debut track “Party In My House.” He then recorded 4 original songs and released these tracks as an EP No Es Un Juego. Since 2014, he has been hard at work between the studio and school, where TonyJ is pursuing his degree in music business. In the past three years, he has released his singles “Sin Tu Amor” and “Mala” ft. Endi. He is currently working on his latest project, in hopes of releasing his first album, which will be a Latin fusion of different genres with the focus on Reggaeton.
As a solo act, TonyJ has opened up for premier artists like Nicky Jam, J Alvarez, and Kevin Roldan. At the age of 21, TonyJ continues to push the limits of his musicality and creative engines. His fusion of hip-hop, Reggaeton, and R&B into his music, will continue to push the envelope in the Latin Urban music scene, and makes him one of the most promising new acts in the genre.
